Last Saturday, I did a little shooting at Tinicum Park Polo for fun. It was good outing and the action was great, but unfortunately the weather didn’t hold out (although the players finished off the chukker in progress when the rain started) and the match was called.

Shooting for the Three “P”s: Practice, Portfolio, and Pleasure

As I mentioned in a post a couple weeks ago, I often head up to the Bucks County Horse Park in Revere, Pennsylvania to shoot for fun.  Shooting when I’m not the “official photographer” gives me opportunities that I might not take advantage of if I was on the hook for the standard shots.  It allows me the freedom to try out new things that might not work out without any of the pressure to get the “safe” shots.  This is how I started playing with my Stadium Jumper Montage. Shooting Dressage at the Horse Park


It’s been a busy week and I’m just getting a chance to write up a post about last weekend.  On Sunday I photographed the Bucks County Horse Park’s USDF/USEF Dresssage at the Park I show with Laslo Varadi and Digital Expressions Photography.  I regularly shoot as a second with Laslo at BCHP for dressage, hunter-jumper shows, and horse trials. I have to admit that the horse trials are my favorite because of the variety, but if I had to pick my second favorite – it would be dressage. Continue Reading…
